Interactive wireframing just got better

Summer is almost over and we are back with the second update of our update marathon that will stretch all the way into autumn since we got so many improvements scheduled reaching from new elements  (breadcrumbs, button bar …) to some brand now interactions that will make your wireframing life with HotGloo a lot easier.

The latest update includes:
1. New elements
2. New interactions
3. Bug fixes

1. New elements (yeahhh!)

Interactive wireframing Elements:

  • Breadcrumb
  • Button bar
  • Linkbar
  • Progress bar
  • Rating
  • Slider
  • Switch

Static Elements:

  • Browser
  • Calendar
  • Callout
  • Carousel
  • Splitter
  • Tag Cloud
  • Video Player
  • Volume
  • Profile
  • Scratch Out
  • Scrollbar

2. All new interactions (double yeahhh!)
We’ve kicked the easy/expert mode and redesigned the interaction window for a better overview and easier access – for those who are using interactions quite excessive. With the new interactions window you’ll never lose track again.

What’s new?

Now you can set up interactions for an element, activated on:

  • click (interaction is fired upon element click)
  • init (interaction is fired upon init event)
  • over (interaction is fired upon cursor over)
  • out (interaction is fired upon cursor out)
  • change (interaction is fired upon element change)
  • focus in/out (interaction is fired upon focus change)
  • keyboard enter (interaction is fired upon keyboard enter)
  • item click (interaction is fired upon item click)

…triggering an action:

  • got to page
  • show message
  • go to URL

…or triggering another element:

  • change element visibility (show/hide/toggle other elements)
  • change state value (to a predefined state set)
  • change container view (available for viewstack, accordion, tab)
  • select item (available for buttonbar, linkbar, list element)
  • set value (available for slider, progress bar, rating bar)
  • change selection (available for radio button, checkbox)

We have also shot a new interactions video to cover all new features. The Deep Dive into Interactions videos will be released one by one during the next weeks.

Hope you have a lot of use cases for the new elements and interactions. Next update will include the long awaited iPhone UI elements. Meanwhile let us know how it goes wireframing with the new features!
